We are now 11 games into the season, and it is clear to see how some of the new imports are having a positive impact on their sides. Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool all remain unbeaten in the league, and they are all playing some excellent football. The Gunners are likely to miss out on qualification for the Champions League for a fourth season in a row unless they are able to win the Europa League. Arsenal are in the semi-finals of the European competition and will face Villareal in the second leg of the tie next week. There have been some positives to take from the current campaign, with young players such as Emille Smith-Rowe and Bukayo Saka having impressive seasons....

Following his move to Juventus, the Italian league has received a massive boost in followership, with many of his fans paying close attention to his progress in the division. Some people even went further and encouraged him to establish himself at his new club, conquer the Seria A and also win the coveted Italian Golden Shoe this season. Although it is reasonable to tip Ronaldo to win the Golden Shoe if you consider his incredible records in front of goal, it will also be foolish to ignore the challenges the Portuguese would face in or order to win the award as the Seria A has a lot of prolific scorers who are also strong contenders for the accolade....

After the exit of Zinedine Zidane and Cristiano Ronaldo, it was expected that Los Blancos would react appropriately in the transfer market. This did not happen and the team lurched like a drunken sailor throughout the season. With the return of Zidane at the tail end of last season, Real supremo, Florentino Perez has wasted no time in refurbishing the team. Long-term target, Eden Hazard has finally been signed up from Chelsea....

ATP events have always provided a great platform for some of the higher-ranked players to prepare for major grand slam events and also help the upcoming players to assess their game. Spurs haven’t signed a player since Lucas Moura joined from Paris St. Germain in January 2018, but they’ve recently been linked with a number of new signings, including Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon. Those players won’t come cheaply though and despite having some cash in the coffers, it’s likely Tottenham will have to offload at least one or two squad members to be able to pay for their replacements....
